I am a current Biochemistry Undergraduate student at the East Falls campus of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am expected to graduate in May 2027.
Originally born in London, I grew up in a traditional Filipino household with a younger brother. I have lived in New Jersey for about 10 years, and now in Pennsylvania. I graduated from Central Bucks High School South in 2023, and I am now pursuing a medical and research career.
My education focuses on the chemical aspects of biological mechanisms in ecological and physiological systems. My projects specialize in both human and microbial cell research, involving the investigation of metabolic production pathways of environmental microbial organisms and cell proliferation mechanisms of cancer cells. My academia revolves around a diverse aspect of molecular and cellular biology research.
On campus, I am a part of the board of clubs and work with underclassmen students. I am the Co-President for the Jefferson Undergraduate Research Association (2025) and the Co-President & Co-Founder of the 12 PLUS Chapter of Thomas Jefferson University (2025).
For work, I enjoy teaching as an instructor for the First Year Seminar course for 23 freshman students. As well, I can often be found working in the College of Life Sciences Lab Department, either preparing the experiments for the biology labs for Pre-MIRS and Pre-Nursing majors or aiding lab instructors as a teaching assistant in the Core Concepts of Biology labs.
Campus engagement and involvement are important factors for me, as connecting with peers and professors can develop meaningful connections for collaborations and mentoring.
Outside of school, I enjoy working out at the gym, running on the Schuylkill trail or in Rittenhouse Square, cafe-hopping, scrapbooking memories, and cuddling with my hamster, Diva.
